Area Sampling Manager (Seattle, Phoenix, San Francisco)

Honest Tea, a leader in the bottled organic tea market, is looking for a candidate who can take its brand to the next level. This is a rapidly growing company with tremendous opportunities for a hard-working, resourceful hands-on manager who can act as an ambassador for the Honest Tea brand.

We are looking for someone who can hire and lead a team in the market to execute promotional events and take advantage of guerilla sampling opportunities for Honest Tea, Honest Ade, and Honest Kids. The ideal candidate is someone who is entrepreneurial, highly-organized, and understands the Honest Tea demographic. This person will play a critical role in the marketing strategy for the company, so creativity is a plus!


Responsibilities:
• Hire and supervise a team to execute guerilla and event sampling opportunities in the DC-Metro market.
• Seek out local events and venues where Honest Tea, Honest Ade, and Honest Kids consumers work and play.
• Coordinate with Honest Tea’s sales managers to most-effectively leverage marketing efforts.
• Submit recaps from each event, including pictures, and be able to tell a story with the progress being made in the region.
• Use marketing opportunities to drive sales.

Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Business (or related field) required. 
• Experience managing a team required.
• Must be able to work a Wednesday – Sunday schedule.
• Experience in marketing, especially sampling in the beverage and/or consumer products industry preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal/written) with the ability to interact effectively internally as well as with external contacts.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills are essential.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Must excel in multi-tasking within a fast-paced organization.

Regional Sales Manager (Salt Lake City, Seattle and SF/Sacramento)

Honest Tea, a leader in the bottled organic tea market, is looking for a candidate who can take its brand to the next level. This is a rapidly growing company with tremendous opportunities for a hard-working, resourceful hands-on manager. A Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for building the Honest Tea Brand through management of distributors and subordinates within assigned territory. The ideal candidate is someone who is entrepreneurial, highly-organized, and understands the Honest Tea demographic.

The Regional Sales Manager must assign, train, motivate, manage, and evaluate the business activities of Honest Tea subordinates and distributors within assigned territory to deliver maximum sales, executional results, and customer satisfaction for the company’s product lines. She/he will develop sales objectives, prepare and execute product programs, and analyze and evaluate the status of the company’s products as well as the competitive environment on an ongoing basis.

Regional Sales Managers who perform exceptionally will have room for advancement. The Regional Sales Manager will report to the Division Sales Manager.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage the progress of assigned distributor organizations’ (and field personnel, when appropriate) performance in the selling and merchandising of the company’s product lines either directly or through the area sales managers within the region
• Monitor ongoing business trends to effectively forecast sales volumes for each distributor market on a monthly basis
• Develop and present creative and results oriented presentations to distributors and/or key accounts
• Maintain customer contact in conjunction with distributors to expedite resolution of customer problems/complaints and to improve overall customer relations, sales volume, and profile in the marketplace
• Review and evaluate distributor performance in achieving sales and merchandising objectives through specific objectives for distributors that are clearly articulated, mutually agreed upon and effectively measured
• Actively participate in the development and implementation of sales programs, schematics, and all other such brand development projects that relate to field execution
• Conduct market audits in all classes of trade to assess the company’s products’ position in the marketplace; monitor competitive activity and developments
• Maintain a high level of interaction with key trade customers to ensure customer satisfaction, educate on product line and category developments and trends, as well as maintain a full understanding of key customers’ organizations
• Maintain thorough and current understanding of existing and projected product lines, category trends of key trade customers, of competitors and the marketplace in general


Requirements:
• 8 to 10 years experience in sales and management, preferably in the beverage and/or consumer products industry
• Ability to organize and lead management teams successfully
• Ability to travel as well as work long, flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required
• Excellent driving record and insurance, required
• Personal vehicle to use, if necessary
• Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal/written) with the ability to interact effectively internally as well as with external contacts
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Area Sales Manager (Northern California, Phoenix)

Honest Tea, a leader in the RTD organic tea market, is looking for a candidate who can take its brand to the next level. This is a rapidly growing company with tremendous opportunities for a hard-working, resourceful hands-on manager. An Area Sales Manager will be responsible for building the Honest Tea Brand through management, sales, merchandising, sampling, and retail support. The ideal candidate is someone who is entrepreneurial, highly-organized, and understands the Honest Tea demographic.

Area Sales Managers who perform exceptionally will have room for advancement. The Area Sales Manager will report to the Regional Sales Manager.

Responsibilities:
• Within the assigned market, execute sales, management of Trade Development Associates, working with distributors, sampling, store resets, placement of glides and POS
• Lead route rides, crew drives, and kick-offs
• Be courteous and responsible driver at all times
• Work with distributors/sales people to open new Honest Tea accounts, expand SKUs, obtain and track resets and sampling opportunities
• Perform as main contact for all sales reps at the distributor level
• Placement of coolers, hard point of sale and soft point of sale in accounts
• Follow up weekly on current and potential accounts for sales, resets and demo opportunities
• Submit daily recaps outlining accounts, resets, samplings between the company and the distributor
• Manage merchandising programs in region
• Attend weekly meetings to create strategies for each territory
• Train new members of the team
• Assist Regional Sales Manager with bill backs and other duties performed by regional sales manager

Requirements:
• 3 to 4 years experience in sales and management, preferably in the beverage and/or consumer products industry

The position is entry-level and candidates who perform exceptionally will have room for advancement. The Trade Development Associate will report to the Area Sales Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Manager
    Honest Tea, a leader in the bottled organic tea market, is looking for a candidate who can take its brand to the next level. This is a rapidly growing company with tremendous opportunities for a hard-working, resourceful hands-on manager who can provide supply chain support to the Brand throughout the country. The hours can be long and the work demanding but the sense of accomplishment of being able to contribute to the success of the company will make it all worthwhile.

    We are looking for someone who is a bright and motivated analytical thinker, detail oriented with a great positive work ethic who understands what working for an entrepreneurial company means. The ideal candidate is someone who is highly-organized, can multi-task easily and can jump right in. This person will play a critical role in the operations team for the company.

    Responsibilities:
    • Manages and oversees supply chain operations, including purchasing and inventory of materials as well as selection of vendors
    • Makes recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations
    • Coordinates and resolves issues regarding existing and new products
    • Interacts with all manufacturing facilities as well as storage facilities
    • Work with other departments within Operations to build and maintain sufficient stock of ingedients, packaging and finished goods

    Requirements:
    • Minimum Associates or Bachelors Degree in Business (or related field) required
    • 5 – 7 years of experience in supply chain/production planning/purchasing in a consumer goods environment, required
    • Experience using an ERP system for planning purposes
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal/written) with the ability to interact effectively internally as well as with external contacts
    • Intermediate level Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,) skills are essential
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
